It didn’t take long for Clayton to learn something new about his wife -- she has a side for photos. To say these two are a thrill to be around would be an understatement. I feel like I’ve known them for years.
I got to know these high school sweethearts when they graciously trusted me to take their engagement photos. When they told me they wanted me to take photos for their wedding at Moody Ranch, I just about leap out of my shoes!
Because their ceremony didn’t start until late afternoon, I spent the morning chatting and sipping a cup (or two) of coffee with my mother-in-law on the back porch on a shockingly cool summer morning. Being in the wedding business, baking cakes, she was waiting on a wedding as well to deliver a beautiful cake and many delicious cupcakes.
Thinking about the days leading up to their wedding, Whitney reached out to share something Clayton was working on for the wedding. A stunning backdrop for their ceremony. Talk about a talented guy. It even had some florals on it!
Halfway through the night, I ran into Whitney’s dad. He told me his side of the story on how Clayton asked for his approval to marry his daughter. Long story short, Clayton asked Whitney’s father while her father was driving back to Texas, “are you sitting down?” in which her father replies “I’ll be sitting for a few hours.” He had nothing but great things to say about his new son-in-law.
Their day was filled with laughter, love and a whole lot of two-stepping. It can't get much better than that!
After a beautiful wedding day, Mr. & Mrs. Thane spent a few days in Amarillo and then were off to Colorado Springs, Colorado to go on their honeymoon.
Whitney and Clayton, to be part of your special day was a true honor. It’s evident how much love you have for each other and I wish you so much happiness in your new life together. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Thane!
